Instead of investigating how #Russia🇷🇺threw the election to Trump, Nunes is attacking Team🇺🇸Mueller & federal law enforcement‼️

Nunes convened a group of House Intel Republicans to draft a likely report on “corruption” among the investigators working for Mueller.🤬 2/

Democrats requested subpoenas to obtain additional testimony from key #TrumpRussia🇷🇺figures, who were not forthcoming enough in interviews👉🏼including Jeff Sessions & Don Jr.🤨

But NUNES *blocked* the subpoenas‼️ 3/

Nunes’ acts of loyalty to Trump have alarmed Democrats that the #TrumpRussia🇷🇺investigation may be abridged or undermined. Even some *Republicans* are concerned about Nunes, prompting rare public warnings that he should temper his attacks on federal law enforcement‼️ 4/

Gowdy: “I’m interested in getting access to the information & not the drama” (Nunes threatened contempt citations for FBIDir Wray & DAG Rosenstein) & his “heart would be broken” (Nunes wants to issue a corruption exposé about the FBI).🤨5/

Gowdy claims that Nunes has GONE ROGUE & taken some of these steps w/o the express blessing of @SpeakerRyan, who has been involved in crafting the GOP’s multipronged approach to examining #TrumpRussia & “alleged mismanagement at the nation’s top law enforcement agencies.”🙄 6/

Democrats warn that the House Intel probe is NOT being run properly. 2-3 overlapping interviews sometimes are scheduled👉🏼impossible to fully prepare. Requested documents often fail to materialize until AFTER the interview is over & interviewees are rarely invited back.🤨 7/

While Senate Intel leaders boast of a methodical process that starts with peripheral players & builds to key witnesses, House Intel’s order is comparatively haphazard & unstructured👉🏼designed to give the probe a “veneer of respectability”‼️🙄 8/

While under Ethics investigation, Nunes never went to a closed-door #TrumpRussia🇷🇺meeting. But at least 1 of his committee staffers was always there. Even Republicans, including GOWDY, couldn’t distinguish btwn staffers’ allegiance to the cmte & Nunes‼️🤨 8/

While Nunes BLOCKS any investigation of #Russia🇷🇺election interference, he’s probing Fusion GPS👉🏼his subpoena of their bank records is caught up in a court battle, & Nunes’ staff is in touch w/@ChuckGrassley.🙄 9/

Nunes has made up his mind about the House Intel’s #TrumpRussia🇷🇺probe, telling FOXNews, “We have no evidence of Russia collusion between the Trump campaign” and Russia.🙄
