7/ I’m a left-leaning Bay Area liberal, so I doubt Ms Carpenter and I have a lot of common ground, politically. But what I think we both share is a deep commitment to core American principles and democratic institutions. Amanda has done us a great service by writing this book.
8/ Do yourself a favor and give it a read, and maybe, like me, you’ll be able to get a full night’s sleep again.
