Short 🧵on random #covid testing by @CanBorder & @GovCanHealth:

We crossed back into Canada April 1st, the 1st day pre-arrival covid tests were not required.

I was "randomly selected" and told to complete the take home test from @SwitchHealthCA within 24 hours. /1
Within an hour of getting to our cottage, fairly remotely located, where we indicated we would isolate in our #ArriveCan app (which worked well) as part of the quarantine plan ArriveCan asks for, I started the registration and testing process. /2
I needed to register on the Switch Health site, providing a ton of very private details including #OHIP, Passport, DOB, etc.

While I had no choice, I wondered "who is Switch Health?" "What GoC agency has confirmed their #cyber #security in order to protect my #PII?"

Bezprostředně před a po začátku RU invaze 24. února vypověděly službu UKR počítačové systémy napříč několika sektory, včetně vládního, finančního a leteckého. Na vině byly ničivé kyberútoky využívající dva různé wipery - #HermeticWiper a #IsaacWiper. 3/10
