2/ However doctors & orgs do interact with the law. Doctors receive lectures dealing with those aspects that are relevant to them. This includes topics such as consent, assault, euthanasia, medical negligence, indemnity, medical records, data protection, the list goes on.
3/ We also discuss ethics, the role of religious beliefs, end of life care, clinical guidelines, communications (inc social media), diagnostic coding, whistle blowing, etc – which maybe isn’t primarily about law but refers to it where relevant and the law still applies.

We need to broaden our discussion on #regulatorycapture. The typical understanding is too narrow and based on a faulty understanding of #economy and #regulation as a one-shot game. It's not; the market is a process, and action in it and regulation of it have process implications.
The standard interpretation seems both neutral and innocuous, but it is not. It asserts a certain order of events that has support neither in theory nor empirically: that government agencies are implemented to then be captured/corrupted.
The creation-then-capture logic doesn't hold in what is often called a "repeated game," i.e. in a world where parties can act and react to each other's actions more than once and therefore cause systemic adjustments, adaptations, and even symbiosis.

Prior to intro. of user fees in 1994, #HealthCanada was solely funded by tax dollars - therefore accountable to the public. By 2018, approx. 50% of #HealthCanada’s budget came from #Pharma. Quietly announced in Oct 2017 was intention to increase to 90%.
On May 27, 2021, Dr. Patrick Phillips was asked if the data in Canada's adverse event system can be trusted. He replied "absolutely not" & suggested #VAERS may be more reliable. However, "HHS’s own studies indicate that VAERS may be understating vaccine injuries by OVER 99%."

Ok so here’s the news report (I couldn’t find a paper) showing Remdesivir improves time to recovery in #COVID19 niaid.nih.gov/news-events/ni…
And here’s the Lancet study from China showing no mortality benefit from remdesivir: thelancet.com/journals/lance…
You’ll notice the NIH study...also doesn’t show a statistically significant mortality benefit for remdesivir!!

Despite being a documented #epidemic for decades, @HHSGov's #CenterForDiseaseControl(@CDCgov) intentionally obstructs its collecting #statistics on what causes at least 10% of deaths NEEDLESSLY every year.

The #UCRegents suing #UCLAHealth’s radiologist & #UCLA professor Robert Lufkin MD (CA lic#G43135) is like the clichés about irony:

The state of California’s #UCRegents suing Robert Lufkin MD is suspicious to me, as I have reason to think Lufkin is a suspected #MandatedReporter #Accomplice of the #UCRegents & #UCLAHealth’s #CriminallyFraudulentPrivateMarketDiscipline that depends on #RegulatoryCapture.
