In contrast to previous crises, #sanctions packages were prepared, coordinated, and ready to be executed within hours.

Probably because Deripaska's yacht Clio was built by German shipyard Lurssen? This company keeps making money on servicing the yacht, which frequently travels to German ports

We also met with European partners @OlafScholz, @jensstoltenberg, @vonderleyen and @Vitaliy_Klychko and heard remarks by @ZelenskyyUa. We expressed America’s commitment to NATO and the transatlantic alliance, support for the people of Ukraine and opposition to Russian aggression.

I’ve been convinced since early December that Russian invasion of Ukraine was highly likely. The Biden administration is now assessing that it is ‘imminent’
Indeed, the Russian force mobilization and positioning is now complete and they can launch the invasion at any moment

Great meeting with the Mayor of Kyiv, a staunch friend of the United States and a true fighter.

Ich kenne keine Konferenz, auf der es so gut gelingt, auch schwierigste Player mit an einen Tisch zu bringen.
Das Potenzial der @MunSecConf an Konfliktlösungen mitzuwirken, ist enorm.

Aber mit dieser Funktion & Wirkung geht auch Verantwortung einher. Wer so arbeitet, muss frei sogar vom Verdacht wirtschaftlicher Verflechtungen sein, muss an sich selbst höchste ethische Ansprüche stellen.
