@JustinMcElroy Hi Justin,

Navigating the waters of terminology can be extremely difficult. Many people say person first but also many people in our situations are fine with saying disabled first, because it's what we are.

But we almost all agree that "Differently abled" is bad /1
@JustinMcElroy When somebody says "differently abled" it becomes a problem of eracing disability.

I use a power wheelchair and a ventilator, I'm not able-bodied in any way. To call me differently able that is to say I have equal capabilities just different. I clearly do not.
@JustinMcElroy At @AbleGamers we use person first language for general communications "Gamer with disabilities" , but when the sentiment is coming from someone with a disability we will say "disabled gamer" because it enabled them to have the power to choose how they want to be empowered
@JustinMcElroy @AbleGamers If you have any questions or would like some guidance on how to navigate these waters, I'm happy to help. Feel free to DM anytime.
