Someone please counsel @Taxify_ng about the impact of their unconscionable promo that is endangering the lives of our citizens in Nigeria. We have been receiving reports of overworked drivers trying to meet some uncanny mileage. #FixThisTaxifyNG
It really won’t take long to shut this down if complaints continue to mount. We care about the citizenry enough to flag any hostile activity that may endanger the lives of our people. Address this & review whatever profit making scheme that is causing this. #FixThisTaxifyNG
It is time we all get responsibly and act proactively to save lives. The year is coming to an end and we hope to avoid further loses in the lives of our citizenry. Safety is paramount. If there are more complaints please share in the thread. @citizen_gavel please take note.

I received an interesting call from @Taxify_ng brand manager who by the way is a wonderful and cerebral personality from our lengthy interesting dialogue. The fact remains that no driver is compelled to cover 100hours in two days but spread over 10days for a particular bonus.
Also, from the data, there is no nexus between drivers hitting this mileage and those caught sleeping on the jobs. Most of those flagged as reported were no where aiming at covering any mileage for bonuses. Suffice to say their issues are unrelated to the promo.
Industry wise, records also show they care more about their drivers than others in the industry and didn’t floor prices for competitiveness just to keep their drivers happy and engaged. We however agreed that more engagement with the public will be needed.
People don’t use Taxify because they are Taxify but because of the stories behind the brand. To this extent the rate of engagement with the public will help to mend institutional gaps and manage psychological structure of meaning within their network & with the users.
How they go about achieving that as we proceed will be key to sustainably increasing the satisfaction people derive from using their services (Utility). The Manager promised to work on this going forward and I believe the feedback will help to know if this is fixed as we proceed.
