The Justice Department has amended the regulations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to clarify that bump-stock-type devices are "machine guns" and are illegal.
The new rule will be published by the end of this week and will take effect 90 days after that point.
Individuals who have bump stock devices have 90 days to either turn them in to authorities or destroy them.
After that point, it will be illegal to own them.

At one agency, the children were put into temporary foster care and shelters with little or no indication that they arrived at the border with their parents: propub.li/2QcsPvY

The government classifies these children as "unaccompanied"

Michael Flynn, Trump's former national security adviser, was scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday for lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia's then-U.S. Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in 2016.
cbsn.ws/2Cjempt
As Flynn's sentencing began...
Judge Emmet Sullivan -- who was not the judge who accepted Flynn's guilty plea -- says he wants to "focus on some of the issues" before he moves forward.
Judge Sullivan says the circumstances of Flynn's FBI interview, as raised by his attorneys last week, "concerned the court."
Sullivan says they raise "issues that may call into question his guilty plea."
Judge Sullivan asks Flynn if he wished to challenge the circumstances by which he was interviewed by the FBI.
"No, your honor."
Flynn says he knew at the time of his questioning that lying to the FBI was a crime: “I was aware”

Judge Sullivan is making sure it’s abundantly clear that Michael Flynn is pleading guilty because he’s guilty. That he lied to the FBI, that he knew it was wrong to lie to the FBI.
Judge Sullivan gave Flynn one final shot to withdraw his guilty plea. Judge asks if he wants to proceed.
FLYNN: “I would like to proceed.”
Because you’re guilty?
FLYNN: “Yes, your honor.”
"The judge appears to be making it crystal clear that Michael Flynn has plead guilty because he is actually guilty & not because he was coerced by any person or entity.
Flynn repeated his understanding ... and remains adamant he was not coerced." independent.co.uk/news/world/ame…
Judge Sullivan tells Flynn that serving as unregistered agent of a foreign country while serving as National Security Adviser means “arguably you sold your country out.”
Judge says he can’t hide his “my disgust, my disdain.” Flynn and lawyers seemed stunned.
Flynn's lawyer says they're prepared to delay sentencing.
"It is true that this EDVA case is still pending and likely Flynn may testify in that case ... For that reason, we are prepared to take your honor up on that suggestion."
Michael Flynn's sentencing will be postponed to give him time to finish fully cooperating with federal prosecutors.
Judge Sullivan DELAYS the sentencing of Gen. Michael Flynn, sets a status hearing for March 13th.
A remarkable turn within days: from Flynn lawyers claiming entrapment, to Flynn and lawyers admitting he repeatedly & willfully lied, to lawyers clearly concerned he may be facing jail time and asking for delay.
