BREAKING Official Government guidance says it will take a year to organise a second referendum. MPs involved in the Brexit talks were handed a one page document setting out the timeline today
This is a contested timescale, I should add. Vince Cable tells Chopper's Brexit Podcast tomorrow that it can be done in half the time. @brexitbroadcast
But it also illustrates that the @peoplesvote_uk and @BestForBritain campaigns are offering another year of uncertainty - followed by a possible exit - against the certainty of leaving on March 29.

An Electoral Commission spokesman tells me: "The Government has not provided us with any information about how long, in its view, it would take to organise a second referendum. We would expect to see any such information so that we can provide independent, expert advice." Ouch!
