Many feel pessimistic about this article. No good choice for Damascus:
- either the US withdraw & Turkey take al-Hasaka
- or Turkey and US remain in Syria occupying each a part of the country

The only other far alternative is in the hands of the Kurds.

If the #Kurds join, fully, the Syrian government and stop acting as a human shield to the US occupation forces, the #USA will no longer feel safe and will have to leave. This is the only plausible scenario where the damage is limited.

The US wants to see a buffer zone (13,000 sqkm) in Turkish hands. This means the YPG and their families, including all those rejecting a Turkish control, will have to leave.

Idlib, under jihadists control, is very dangerous for the authority of Damascus. This is the priority.

Today in #Moscow, both Putin and Erdogan will discuss this important and complicated issue in #Syria.

What puts everything on hold is the fact that no one trusts Trump's decision to withdraw from #Syria.

So there will not be final decisions in #Russia today.
