Arma Global Services. They wear reversed flags on their sleeves; do military base support around the country, perhaps the world. Had 2 hire a lot of people 2 guard internal & external checkpoints, cruise roads in carts & trucks at the largest child migrant prison in the country.
Not much time for training it seems. Sometimes, all it takes to trigger a Keystone Cops flurry of activity is for a lone protestor with a sign to wander down a public road to wave at the children inside. Who often wave right back, by the way.
Golf carts scurry to the scene of the “crime.” Warnings are issued. Trucks pull up parallel so the drivers (the supervisors of the guards get to drive trucks) can consult. What are they consulting about?
My guess is they R trying 2 figure out what their policy of day is. One day a protestor can’t be there at all. On a public road. In the United States. Another day it was ok 2 B on road, but not grass. Next day ok 2 B on grass, but not road...
... Then ok 2 B there, but not look inside. Or to look, but not call out. Or not to wave.
It’s been a few days of this now. And frankly, although I know my rights are important, the thing that worries me most is what this says about what goes on inside. With the the kids.

Cuz when an org is this confused, it worries me. I have seen some signs of that kind of inconsistency inside. Sometimes when we wave & show our signs 2 kids, they wave back, call out, jump high so they can see us. Make hearts with their fingers. Dab (I just learned that word!)
Other times, they are subdued. Glum.

...kids that R 2 fill beds of Homestead prison. Why CHS? A co that couldn’t get a license 2 operate from state of FL? Well that goes back 2 that phrase, for-profit. They hire teachers 2. But not ones w/certification. Why not hire certified ones? Raise UR hand if U know the answer
But back 2 my point. This organization is a shambles. On the outside, there is a guard that has been swooping in & threatening us w/arrest every day. He is a bit of a sadist. Well, do U think that among CHS folks who do guarding of children inside...
... among some of those untrained new hires, perhaps taking care of those quieter, more subdued groups of kids we see, there couldn’t be some like that guard?
Communication among the guards we have contact with is very poor. They get alarmed & cluster around a lone protester like a group of preschoolers around a soccer ball. Inside, newly hired, untrained people R in charge of children in the middle of the worst trauma of their lives
