Thanks to the Times of Israel, the Intercept, and Huffington Post, I present a timeline of @RealDonaldTrump's blatant anti-Semitism. The NERVE of him to say this patently false, Hitleresque nonsense. Here we go. Buckle in.
Slurs Jon Stewart's Jewish name
On April 24, 2013, Trump goes out of his way to highlight the “Daily Show” host’s Jewish background, tweeting: “I promise you that I’m much smarter than Jonathan Leibowitz — I mean Jon Stewart @TheDailyShow. Who, by the way, is totally overrated"
In speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition, stereotypes Jews. “You’re not going to support me because I don’t want your money,” he told the Jewish audience. He also says, “Is there anyone in this room who doesn’t negotiate deals? Probably more than any room I’ve ever spoken.”
After Melania Trump criticizes Julia Ioffe’s profile of her in GQ as “another example of the dishonest media and their disingenuous reporting,” neo-Nazi Daily Stormer urges followers to “go ahead and send [Ioffe] a tweet and let her know what you think of her dirty kike trickery”
When Wolf Blitzer asks Trump if he has a message for supporters taunting Ioffe w/ anti-Semitic death threats, Trump says, “I know nothing about it. You’ll have to talk to them about that," adding “I don’t have a message to the fans. There is nothing more dishonest than the media"
Following Trump’s refusal to condemn the anti-Semitic vitriol against Ioffe, Daily Stormer founder Andrew Anglin tells the Huffington Post, “We interpret that as an endorsement.
William Johnson, leader of the white supremacist American Freedom Party, was among the list of delegates the Trump campaign submitted in California in 2016.
Trump didn't call on Rep. Steve King to resign after the congressman questioned what was so offensive about “white supremacy,” the ideology at the heart of the Holocaust and other anti-Semitic movements throughout history, during a January interview with The New York Times.
During his 2016 campaign, Trump tweeted a blatantly anti-Semitic image featuring a picture of Hillary Clinton pasted over a backdrop of $100 bills with a six-pointed star — the Jewish Star of David — alongside her face.
On the campaign trail in 2015, Trump invoked the stereotype of Jews as greedy, cunning businesspeople. “I’m a negotiator, like you folks. Is there anyone who doesn’t renegotiate deals in this room?” Trump continued. “Perhaps more than any room I’ve spoken to.”
After a massive white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, left one counter-protester dead in August 2017, Trump took more than 48 hours to denounce the violence. Neo nazis cheered that “Trump comments were good” and claimed he “said he loves us all.”
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ook to Twitter in October 2018 to accuse three Jewish billionaires — George Soros, Tom Steyer, and Michael Bloomberg — of trying to “buy” the midterms. He posted his tweet just a day after Soros received a pipe bomb at his home in New York.
In 2002, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, then a Louisiana state representative, attended and spoke at a convention of the white supremacist European American Unity and Rights Organization, a group founded by David Duke.
In December, Rep Louie Gohmert appeared on Fox saying, "George Soros is supposed to be Jewish but you wouldn't know it from the damage he inflicted on Israel and the fact that he turned on fellow Jews & helped take the property that they owned"
Our fave drunky, Matt Gaetz invited the notorious Holocaust denier Chuck Johnson* to be his guest at the State of the Union and later defended Johnson: “He’s not a Holocaust denier; he’s not a white supremacist. Those are unfortunate characterizations of him.”
Long before his racist remarks to the New York Times, Steve King retweeted a neo-Nazi. He sat on a panel with white nationalists. He praised both the German and Austrian far right. According to the ADL, he even “denigrated the Jewish history of the Holocaust.”
Paul Gosar, whose own fam denounced his anti Semitism claimed Charlottesville was “created by the left” and led by an “Obama sympathizer.” He also suggested that Soros funded the event and falsely claimed that the Jewish billionaire “turned in his own people to the Nazis.”
So which party is the anti Jewish party now, @RealDonaldTrump? How dare you. #ImpeachTrumpNow #TrumpIsAWhiteSupremacist
