#ISIS msg from spox comments on #NewZealandTerrorAttack, which is unusually quick for an IS leadership msg. It highlights how badly jihadists want to capitalise on this.
“The scenes of killing at the two mosques should be a wake up call to [Muslims] and prompt caliphate supporters living there [in the West] to take revenge”, says Abu al-Hasan al-Muhajir.
“This massacre at the two mosques is a catastrophe that has hit and will continue to hit Muslims who find it acceptable to live among the infidels”
But this was a small part in a long and defiant speech whose main message is: IS is not over. These territorial losses are just setbacks and IS will rebound.

Interestingly, the msg from IS leader to “soldiers of the caliphate” is this: beware using communication devices (I’m guessing mostly mobile phones but maybe also apps), highlighting the harm they’ve caused
