Why not ring in the weekend by looking at another group of accounts from this IFTTT newsbot dataset? #FridayFeeling

Once again, we'll choose a specific spike in account creation (in this case, one in August 2017) among the IFTTT newsbots and see if it looks like a batch of similar accounts were created. 
The names of many of the accounts created between August 22nd and 25th, 2017 show a distinct pattern: 15 character name, random mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. All the accounts matching the naming scheme do nothing but link New York Times articles.
Searching the entire dataset of IFTTT newsbots for accounts that match the naming convention and tweet NYT articles yielded 88 accounts. Most were created in August 2017, with the initial batch being launched on August 12th.
These bots don't use stolen photographs, but there's nonetheless a pattern to the profile pics. Almost all are either A) the default pic or B) logo-esque illustrations against a white background, generally composed of text superimposed on generic clip art.
