One item everyone is missing in AG Barr's announcement that he now has a small team looking into the allegations of illegal spying on the Trump Campaign.
How do most OIG reports conclude?
With OIG refering it to the DOJ to consider discipline or prosecution
#ButNothingsHappening
The OIG doesn't decide who gets fired, who gets demoted or who gets prosecuted. The OIG's job is to find out what happened, determine if what was done was in accordance with DOJ policy & report suspected violations of policy, procedure & the law. He don't decide if they're guilty
So with Barr announcing the report will be out in May or June, it means the initial report is almost finished & it is undergoing review for publication.

Which means?
Any misconduct or crimes should have been referred to DOJ for disciplinary action or prosecution.
So why is Barr organizing a small team to compile all the evidence on misconduct during #Spygate? Because he has received information sufficient for him to testify under oath that the Trump Campaign was spied upon. Now he has to review all the evidence & decide what to do.
Which very likely means Barr & his small team are deciding if the allegations made in the OIG report on FISA & CHS abuse require disciplinary or criminal sanctions.
