Cross apply this experience to in-office politicians, regulators, the military and intelligence communities (to an under appreciated degree), high-value business targets, etc, although the transient nature of campaigns is rare among institutions.
Movies and startups (in early years) are two other relatively high-salience examples of enterprises which attract lots of professional talent and money which think 2 years is institutionally a long time horizon.
(Part of the craft of early stage startups is that many ecosystem participants *have* done it a few times and know that the survivors will be 10+ year institutions, so you have to spend some cycles worrying about that when you don’t know if you’ll necessarily have a tomorrow.)
