1/n Trump's 'America First' rhetoric seems to have upended partisan positions on American involvement overseas. White liberals/democrats are now significantly more likely to say it's best that the US stay active in world affairs vs. concentrating on problems at home 
2/n Note that 9/11 and the WoT seem to have made conservatives/Republicans more 'internationalist', which they've since drifted away from.
3/n As shown above, the increase in dems endorsing the internationalist response is greatest among whites. Non-white dems and white reps are now more or less on the same page with respect to this question.
4/n Trends in responses to a similar item--for which more years/data are available--shows a similar pattern
5/n Internationalism hasn't been this high among white liberals since the 1960s
6/6 Note that, unlike many of the other graphs I've shown wrt racial attitudes and immigration, this appears to be purely a case of elite-driven polarization/partisan cue-taking.
7/7 Final note: It's no wonder that 'never trump' neo-cons have gravitated towards liberals/the Democratic Party since the election
