A sick law enforcement culture stems not only from unchallenged racism of the employees themselves, but the racism demanded of them daily. If their actual job is to commit bigotry, they’ll probably spend much of their free time justifying it to themselves. propub.li/2Yt4mTs
That is no excuse for the vile behavior that we see @propublica reporting here, and every single person involved in that @CBP Facebook group should never work in law enforcement again. It is little wonder why migrant kids are suffering and dying in America’s concentration camps.
The report—along with today’s congressional visit to the camps—only reinforced why they have to be closed now. That Trump, his government, and his supporters only deflect or deny the truth of these horrors is an echo from history that should chill us all. cnn.it/326L7kD
