When we must "move on" because nothing can be done "retrogressively"(!) :
(1) we must ensure the cool sadism and perversion of ISIS jihadis on Yezidis is not exposed too much as it can show what Islam's jihad always was on target populations throughout last 1400 years.

(2) "we must move on" as we must ensure jihadi action in 1947 and 1971, as well as in almost every other year in between and after, on the subcontinent is not exposed/discussed/sought redress for in courts (KP's grievance can be legally tossed out by divinely just courts)

(3) "we must move on" when hindu temples destroyed/taken over by jihadis in the past are sought to be rebuilt, or individual temple rites/traditions are sought to be upheld because they show what is seen as assertions of strength and unassailability of the "Hindu"

(4) "we must move on" when Hindu practices/rites need to be trashed, or their temples need to be taken over and funds diverted to rub it in that the Hindus r powerless and they have "moved on" from their historical positions of "strength" to powerless followers of powerless gods.

(5) "we must move on" as we shdnt point out Gandhian actions to eliminate revolutionary/insurgent nationalism and emasculation of the common Hindu and enforced reliance on the British Army of India or police together with political legitimization of Islamism to facilitate jihad.

(6) "we must move on" when we point out how Gandhi and his financiers and close followers faced organizational defeat in their obsession with personal power and personality cult and what methods they undertook to hold onto that primary objective of personal control.

(7) "we must not move on" when absolute and total protection of historically claimed rights based on tradition/religious-law/texts/ is questioned for reform and dismissal - in case its Islam and Muslims.

(8) "we must not move on" when eligious site/territory is claimed historically to have been conquered/built upon by Muslims and no thoughts shd be entertained to free up the space and build hospitals and public works - in these cases we must remain absolutely frozen in history.

(9) "we must not move on" when its about current ongoing and unlimited in future time compensations purely based on identity and not means based on claims of historical social injustice - no matter if it creates social injustice in the other direction in current time.

"Moving on" or "not moving on" demands depends on perceived political and religious advantages for those who use these very selectively and very carefully - usually by identity, religious, political, region, language, but there is no consistent honest underlying value system.
