It’s not just a generational conflict. A House with power centralized in its leadership just doesn’t do as much; when younger Members are told in effect to wait their turn, waiting is exactly what they’re expected to do. But @b_judah is right to point out that....
....the experience of Millenials in the House doesn’t incline them to deference, either. They remember one policy or political disaster after another their current leaders either went along with or tried ineffectually to prevent.
