As I tweeted yesterday...Congress has not conceded the point, explicitly reserving its position that it has a constitutional “need to know” of intelligence community wrong-doing.

Now imagine that a #POTUS subverts laws of the #US but does it in part, by sharing classified info w a foreign govt. Maybe it’s #treason or taking a bribe = unquestionably impeachable offenses.

We don’t know the substance of the complaint & concerns abt #Congress usurping legitimate presidential authority to declassify Intel. And perhaps this requires legislation. BUT, if there is any reason to believe this may fall within an impeachment inquiry...

This administration likes Constiturional crises & avoiding one wld mean being more forthcoming privately with @RepAdamSchiff.

That won’t happen of course but #Dems should do what #Trump does. Make it a media war. Use the tools of public engagement to make clear that this is very real.

How many times has Intel community pulled a spy out of Country cuz of fear that a #POTUS compromised him? How many times has a #POTUS sided w a foreign leader over his own intelligence experts?

How many times has a #POTUS forced two dozen security clearances be given to staff who cld be compromised?

This isn’t reality TV. It’s real.
