So contrary to what Reps. Jordan/Turner said—which was apparently all lies intended to defend POTUS's lies—in fact Volker gave *substantial* testimony aiding the impeachment inquiry, including that Trump-Giuliani would've known they were asking Ukraine to *manufacture* evidence.
1/ If Trump's personal lawyer was told Ukraine had nothing to investigate *before* Trump asked for a quid pro quo and Pence threatened Ukraine, it means Trump, Pence and Giuliani were knowingly demanding a *fake* investigation and *fake* evidence in exchange for Javelin missiles.
2/ So the reason Reps. Jordan/Turner ran to the cameras after Volker's testimony seems to be that they thought the testimony was *devastating* and—taking their cue and M.O. from the boss—immediately told the American people the evidence was *nothing* in order to stave off damage.

I personally have seen the media put Trump on TV approximately 100 times calling his own illegal and impeachable phone call with Ukraine "perfect." Meanwhile, I've heard Democrats describe what was wrong with the call 100 different ways.

There's a serious messaging problem here.
1/ It's simple:

1. Trump demanded a more "reciprocal" US-Ukraine relationship.
2. Ukraine asked for Javelin missiles.
3. Trump replied, "I'd like you to do us a favor, though."
4. Trump asked for a probe of Biden.
5. Ukraine agreed.
6. Trump gave the military aid.

QUID PRO QUO.
2/ And I'll say something else: the explicit nature of the quid pro quo between Trump and Ukraine, which I'd note is exactly the agreement Putin wanted Trump to make with Ukraine, is *exactly* what was called Conspiracy to Commit Fraud on the United States in the Mueller Report.

Don't sleep on the Giuliani-Manafort news. Trump has told friends that Manafort is the only man who could take him down, and that remains true even post-conviction because Manafort never told the full truth to the feds. And now we learn Trump and Manafort's attorneys are talking?
1/ In speaking to Manafort's lawyer, Giuliani gives Manafort a chance to offer value to Trump and make his case for a pardon (and Trump's continued assistance in quashing Manafort's corruption probes in Ukraine). *Trump* gets Manafort's continued silence. It's a *quid pro quo*.
2/ The Mueller Report is clear on the fact that Trump repeatedly tampered with Manafort as a witness, and did so through his lawyers and Manafort's lawyers. This is a *continuation* of that tampering, and would be significant even separate from the growing Trump-Ukraine scandal.
