Let's look closer at the 'churning out propaganda against Labour Party politicians/using a clandestine network of distinctly Russo-phobic “influencers”' Integrity unit, 'bankrolled to the tune of £2.2million by the Foreign Office' (&more).
Govt anti-opposition propaganda?!?
-Wait
0.03% (9/26k) of the tweets abt Labour/Corbyn.
(FTR? More on A. Banks)
Hey people that's not a "black op" against Labour.
(One might note tho there's only 1/26k tweets about the Tories, which does support the ruling that the charity wasn't worth 2.2m at its job -much to say here)
You can check by yourself here.
Feel free to be offended by it eg (there were indeed better way to dismiss the "Corbyn was an agent of the StB!" ridiculous rumour)
But again, 9 tweets -a disinfo op?
Now let's take a look at where *that* rumour came from
twitter.com/search?q=(labo…
Not abt what the Integrity initiative did or didn't: Abt it being falsy branded a "Labour bashing dark op"
Oh look at that an actual notorious Russian disinformation tool.
(Claiming the leak was from Anonymous while stating Anonymous said it wasn't them).
(Sorry for the delay, lost my Internet connection for a while)
Note: Calling RT a disinformation tool is actually not exactly accurate: It's a "weapon" ("like any other"), according to its editor-in-chief.
Now why would a Kremlin disinfo weapon build a narrative branding @initintegrity as "russophobic Labour bashing unit"?
Surely not to make Labour voters -especially Leave voters- skeptical about anyone claimed to be involved with it (or not being hostile to it?)
Well..
@InitIntegrity Now *that* looks like a dark disinfo op.
"People exposing Russian influence osp are Tory-funded Russophobic Labour bashing scripted propaganda deep state agents"
Quite effective if you look eg at the answer to this other tweet.
@InitIntegrity Which leads us to a final observation.
All people who fell for the "Tory-funded infowar against Labour" narrative -Note: easy to sell as there's indeed precedent- rushed to the dailyrecord website to read the article.
Guess what was waiting for them there?
@InitIntegrity Note: this thread is not questioning the findings on Integrity initiative itself/Irak's Rendon -I invite you to read other ppl's research abt that
It's questioning the RT launched "Labour bashing" narrative that pushed the "russophobic" theory &sent undetermined id data to Russia
