Starting, NOW!
Off on the first leg of the #EV trip, leaving work for the day: I have an 8am meeting so will get a head start.

Leaving the charging point behind & starting with a ~full charge + range of 429 km.

Bring on tomorrow’s #RangeAnxiety experiment!

First leg of #RangeAnxiety experiment 🧪went as expected:

16 km trip from Office to Home, 15 km reduction in range.

Now to take the dog 🐕 for a bush walk & await the next experimental leg.

Just back before the storm 🌩 hit: already 12 mm so far (<20 min). So glad I got the car washed...

Checked the rear compartment, barely any room to spare (pun intended) - there is a 10A charging lead if needed offsite but not this time.

Arrived for our meeting at @EMSServices with no issues.

Tweaked the drive mode to #ECO and gained a bit of extra range. With the wet 🌧 weather, it’s safer with regeneration level 2 for braking.

A tad over 70 km out from Newcastle & the #CSIRO Energy Centre and feeling comfortable - no anxiety here from Dr Chris Fell & I in our #ElectricVehicle.

Plenty of range: gas in the tank so to speak.

There’s plenty of range in the tank & only ~20 km to the Energy Centre.

I might drop past the #NRMA Fast Charge 🔌 Station and see how much juice 15 mins will get us 😀

I’ve arrived at the Wallsend @NRMA Fast Charger, with at least 135 km range in our #ElectricVehicle.

Work site is ~8.4 km from here, so I can safely say we’d make it back without an issue.

The charging station is on the way, so why not..?

70 km range gain in 15 mins! That’s a help if you have #RangeAnxiety 😀

If you were caught out, I’d certainly recommend checking out the #NRMA Fast Charger 🔌 network.

Back at CSIRO Energy Centre, a round trip of 353 km* & a range remaining (without the quick charge) of 127 km.

Now back on the @DeltaEMEA charger 🔌 for a normal charge ⚡️

All in a day’s work.

@InfraAust has mapped out the plan ahead to 2040 when more than 30% of our vehicle fleet is projected to be #ElectricVehicles and 70% of new vehicle sales.

353 km travelled, averaged 13.2 kWh/100 km or
~$13.86 of e- & zero emissions.

Charged at our Energy Centre on #renewables the cost is ≠ $0, but it’s close to it...
