On house price: judging by percentage of transactions in each price band in 2019...
Over £1m: 1.7%
£600k-£1m: 5.2%
£400k-£600k: 12%
£200k-£400k: 40.5%
£100k-£200k: 31.7%

On mortgage debt and positive equity...
Maybe you're "doing fine" because you live in the south east
Or maybe you're just older.... but not "old".
Or you've received (or due) an inheritance. But if you have/are, you are probably already doing fine.... And again you probably receive it when you're at your wealthiest age....
Still, spare a thought for the country's top 1%...
Although in global terms, that 1% probably includes you..... if your annual income is more than $32k (about £25k per annum)
