1. Is @SenSanders campaign running out of money? Last current data on FEC.Gov has total receipts of $134 million. Total disbursements were $121 million. That was end of January. Feb and into March had to be his highest burn. Here is why I think he's tapped out.
2. California & Texas were Sanders' firewall and they did not hold. It's possible @MikeBloomberg grabbed a lot of available media slots but the drop-off for Sanders in the final week is striking. Here's the data. Image
3. Does Bernie know he has no objective path to the nomination? Does he know he can't win on 1st ballot and will lose on the 2nd? So what was he doing today? It's possible he needs to retire a debt.

1. I applaud them turning out the votes in CA and other key races but it seems clear that folks on @MSNBC @NicolleDWallace aren't aware of how the @NateSilver538 analysis has swung for @JoeBiden in 18 hours. Could win the most but, at least, looks almost 100% no way 1st ballot.
2. And on the second ballot the #SuperDelegates will nominate Joe. @MikeBloomberg thinks he's going to have leverage at the convention. All he's going to get is his car towed. 😎🍀
3. Joe can go ahead and never look back on #StPatricksDay.

Begins as if it's going to be a story about a man:

'In the days when the judges judged there was a famine in the land, and a MAN of Bethlehem in Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, HE and HIS wife and HIS two sons.'
Immediately *famine* & *sojourn* co-occur

as they do in Genesis 12:10--the 1st time either term occurs in the Bible.

So we're in an Abraham-like situation.

A man is on the move, with his family, away from famine, to sojourn in another country.
Strangely enough he's leaving Bethlehem, which means 'house of bread' (beth = house; lehem = bread).

We have 2 reasons to think names in this book bear significant meanings:

Today I went to Al Hol camp where kids don't smile and generally look scared or miserable. The women complain about their situation but again, don't acknowledge the massacre and kidnapping of the yazidis. Not much has changed since my last visit.
The women are either angry with the presence of an infidel or afraid to talk in case the other women see them and attack them. Many say #isis slogans publicly but privately regret traveling. It's a paranoid place.
One #Finnish woman was awaiting news of what will become of her and the 10 other Finns she says are in the camp. She told me she took are of the Finnish orphans recently repatriated.

ISW's #ISIS sanctuary map provides an unclassified assessment of the geographic contours of ISIS's campaign. We resumed publishing the map in late 2018 w/ a new baseline of the ISIS "remnants".

This thread provides methodological notes about what the map is & isn't. 1/
ISW's collection & analysis during the counter-#ISIS campaign indicated that DoD's assessments were overestimating the effect of U.S.-led operations on ISIS's military capability. In early 2018, we @TheStudyofWar began a rigorous process of evaluating the actual impact. 2/
Example: in Dec 2017 @CJTFOIR estimated there were only < 3K #ISIS fighters left in #Iraq & #Syria. 1 year later, they estimated 2K ISIS fighters defended a few km of terrain in SE Syria. Meanwhile, the campaign behind front lines was much broader than 1K fighters could wage 3/

The public charge rule is nothing more than an elitist and discriminatory wealth test that will hurt people regardless of their immigration status.
As @inclusionist has detailed, DHS acknowledges IN THE 400+ PAGE PROPOSED RULE that its policy would increase poverty and housing insecurity, reduce educational attainment, and have negative effects on businesses and charities.
