2. 30-50% of the first "generation" of infected died out, as the first generation virus is especially powerful and it attacks people's immune systems just like HIV.
3. The problem is worse than we expected. It is not like SARS, which ended when it ended. We found the immune systems of the cured patients have been completely destroyed. We are becoming more and more nervous.
4. The virus cannot be killed, cured patients are still spreading them. Don't place your hope on a vaccine. HIV has been here for so many years, we are yet to have a vaccine.
5. Anybody who gets it can spread it to others.

1- I am getting sick of all these people that go like:

Well genius, they are empty because everybody with minor surgery and non-life threatening conditions has been turned away in

1/8 Types of therapies being considered for #COVIDー19 include antibodies and antivirals, like lopinavir (licensed for HIV) and remdesivir (developed for Ebola but shown to be ineffective in the recent PALM trial in DRC).
2/8 The challenge is that there is rarely a “homerun” with these products. They tend to have a weak/moderate effect, even when used early after symptom onset. Thus, we need randomized clinical trials to tell if they actually work.
