The Fortune Global 500 is the list of the top 500 corporations in the world based on their revenue. In the 2022 edition of the list published by Fortune magazine, nine companies from India have found their place. LIC led the pack at the 98th position.

Being included in Fortune Global 500 list is a prestigious accomplishment for corporations. Indian companies have fared markedly better this time with LIC breaking into the top 100 & Reliance Industries, the country's biggest company by market capitalization, jumping 51 places.

The 2022 #fortuneglobal500 list saw a surprise with LIC making its first appearance. The Indian insurance giant, which launched its IPO earlier this year, posted revenue of $97.26 billion with a profit of $553.8 million. It surpassed Reliance which is placed 104th on the list.

There were multiple reasons for this. So let's discuss each reason one by one.

First Reason:

#Government imposed taxes on the export of petrol, diesel, and jet fuel shipped overseas by Indian firms.
A tax of ₹6/L on exports of petrol and aviation turbine fuel and ₹13/L on exports of diesel will be levied.

The step is aimed at meeting the demand of the domestic market.

The taxes on exports come after oil refiners, particularly from the private sector, attracted huge gains from exporting fuel to markets such as Europe and the US amid a surge in international oil prices.

लेकिन इसकी रिफाइनिंग क्षमता दुनिया की कुल रिफाइनिंग क्षमता का 5.1% है।

● भारत रिफाइनिंग में विश्व में शीर्ष 4 में अग्रणी! और हमारे पीएम कहते हैं कि भारत में तेल रिफाइनरियां नहीं हैं, दूसरों ने ध्यान नहीं दिया!
● तथ्य यह है कि मोदी के शासन के दौरान, भारत का घरेलू कच्चे तेल का उत्पादन 53 लाख मीट्रिक टन गिर गया, यानी लगभग 33%।

यूपीए के दौरान भारत का घरेलू कच्चे तेल का योगदान 23.5% था। अभी यह सिर्फ 15.8% है।
हां, यही हकीकत है। यही तथ्य है।
भारत के कच्चे तेल के उत्पादन में यह गिरावट अकारण नहीं है। यह विकास का नया डिजाइन है।
