On 29 December, Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva had talks with Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlic Radmanin about the devastating earthquake that struck the Balkans this afternoon.

"At this difficult time, Bulgaria is ready to stand by our Croatian friends. We are ready to help. I offer my sincerest condolences to the families of the victims of the earthquake and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded," Zaharieva said.
In the event of need, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Zagreb is open to all Bulgarian people for assistance. There is currently no power supply for the diplomatic mission, along with most of the buildings in the Croatian capital,

So 🇧🇦 MFA Bisera Turkovic compared #Serbs with Hitler & suggested abolishing the entity of the Republic of Srpska. This was so disgraceful since the Serbs suffered most from Nazis and Croat Usthasas during WWII in their slaughter camps and pits.

In the last 24 hours, 1,413 new cases of coronavirus have been identified in Croatia and a record 18 people have died, the national response team for COVID-19 said on Tuesday.

The number of active cases is 11,311, with 897 patients being admitted, of which 57 are on ventilators.
38,621 people have been infected since 25 February, when the new virus was first registered in Croatia, of whom 470 have died and 26,840 have recovered, including 1,003 in the past 24 hours.

As the #Slavic-speaking area expanded during the first millennium CE (striped area on map), Proto-Slavic transitioned to Common Slavic. The #language underwent minor changes that occurred mostly uniformly across eastern #Europe, thereby maintaining mutual intelligibility.
