Trump continues to dismember the reputation of the United States with a bone saw
Whenever barbaric dictators deny their involvement in evil, Trump just believes them — the Saudis, Putin, Kim Jong Un. He admires their authoritarianism. Does anyone doubt that, given the chance, Trump would choose to be more like them?
It's also just ugly farce for Trump to publicly accept Saudi leaders' blanket denials about Khashoggi when US intelligence already knows the crown prince ordered an operation to go after him washingtonpost.com/world/national…
I can’t recall a day ever when major news involved a foreign government floating how it might change its cover-up about murdering a journalist that the US president also just went along with wsj.com/articles/turke…

This is an opportune moment for TV execs to show some spine. Trump is gonna keep calling them all partisan and 'fake news' no matter what they do on this! So they should reject his request unless he agrees, verifiably, to not lie
Moreover, if the TV networks let Trump interrupt prime time to tell the American public that there is a 'national emergency' on the US-Mexico border, then the TV networks will be complicit in hyping a phony national emergency

Who could’ve ever predicted Trump would ignorantly careen from one self-made crisis to the next? The Republican Party owns this unmitigated disaster and they’d better start finally trying to fix it, and fast.
IMO, it'll take a lot of dumb luck for Trump—and major misfortune for the country—for him to last even another year. He should fly off to Mar-a-Lago as planned, and tweet his resignation en route.* Time to face the music already.

(*Obviously he won't do this. Congress must act.)
Grim talk aside, I'm optimistic for 2019. I see our system mostly proving resilient—DOJ, courts, the press. Painfully slow, but no quick fix exists. The exception, of course, is the fully GOP-controlled Congress. But Trump is about to lose that protection racket. cc @djrothkopf

- They wanted us to do things only for ourselves, and actually look upon others with animosity.
- They wanted us to destroy the family, replacing it with slavery to the government.
(2) Look at the above two points, and figure out what that does to inheritance.

- They convinced baby boomers that their children should have to suffer, not have any financial means to live or own a home or have children or have a family.
(3) They actually convinced baby boomers that it is BAD to give their children inheritance. BOTH @AandGShow's Joe AND Jack complained as soon as they read it's becoming more common for children to consider it theft when their parents spend too much on unnecessary costly items.
