#Thread There may have been sabotage last week, but a look at the power utilities report to Nersa paints Eskom on the brink of collapse. Eskom's own report describes a litany of severe faults with the new power stations' most important components...
So problem one is the technology Medupi was built with which is very modern technology... Way mismatched to the low grade coal quality in the ground at Lephalale. The Eskom report details poor coal is damaging every part of Kusile and Medupi.
Then Eskom admits that design and technical requirements are not met. The Mills to pulverise coals don't meet technical specs. The boilers' design means they overheat. Coal damages them. The filter plant to filter fumes is damaged by coal & excess ash builld up & trips often.

I was reminded this week how much more work i need to do on handling PTSD. I developed it after spending 6 of my preteen years being molested by my neighbor and his wife. I was violated in in ways no child should experience.

Ive worked on identifying triggers. Learning that I am safe now. That it wasnt my fault. That i did the best i could with the limited knowledge i had. Etc. But there are still times when i become enveloped by fear.

As you all know #deflation has been my theme for some time. It is obvious looking at charts like #Copper and #Oil. Here is #Oil. Ending Diagonal which will send Oil <23 USD during 2019/2020. This has been my call since top in 2018. It is >70% drop --> deflationary #HZupdates
#Copper shows same picture. #Deflation is coming. We are in wave 5 of C in expanding diagonal. Current bounce is wave 2 - will rally slightly higher - before major drop. I imagine this is what Powell starts getting indications on #HZupdates
Notice 2008 Q1-Q3 - during last deflationary phase. Fed had been tightening up to Sept. 2007 - and started lowering rates. BUT damage had been done to economy. World rolled over and #deflation /disinflation. It was from Q1-Q3 2008. #Copper plunged. Same situation now! #HZupdates

Traders first priority is to take a trade basis the trend. Trend in simple terms means, following the direction of the Market.

Which also means, being with the forces who create the direction, who drive the prices, who move the market, SmartMoney.
What is Smart Money ?

Traders Small or Big who buy or sell in large quantities and have the money power to play with prices by buying or selling at important price points.

They decide if the Price is Undervalued for a Buying Opportunity or Over Valued for Selling Opportunity.
As the Buying or Selling happens in Bulk, their Profitability depends on How far they can push the price, so that they can cover whole of their orders with out loosing much.

They have the power to hold positions and keep rolling it over for Years or Decades if they decide to do.

Today I want to take on both #USD Bulls and Bears 😀 I hear a lot of either "USD hegemony is over" or "USD is going to soar for years to come". I think the truth is somewhat in between - but with a slight advantage to the Bull's side #HZupdates
Looking at the very long perspective, DXY has been in a decline. But - it has formed an ending diagonal, and the drop below trendline in 2008 was very likely THE bottom. Since it has been in wave 1 of the new Bull Market - which has formed a leading diagonal #HZupdates
