Trump evidences worsening signs of dementia. The diagnosis could be properly assessed by an evaluation that Trump will never assent to, and certainly wouldn’t share with the American public even if he did.
2/6 In the absence of an evaluation, Americans need to stay alert to signs of his deterioration. On so many fronts Americans have been numbed into normalizing the most deviant behavior by the president. Worsening signs of cognitive decline are just one.
3/6 The Trump Dementia Watch Project is an effort to keep the public mindful of signs that the president is deteriorating cognitively and behaviorally. We’re asking the public to Tweet examples when they see them (include video if possible). Tweet to us @duty2warn #TrumpDementia
4/6 Signs:
Cognitive: memory loss, decreased vocabulary, increased spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors, tangential speech and non sequiturs, decreased conceptual reasoning and problem solving, increased difficulty reading, decreased ability to focus or pay attention,
5/6 trouble finding the right words: “sematic paraphasias:” (using the wrong word, e.g oranges for origins) and “phonemic paraphasias” (made up words that sound like the intended word, e.g. “anomous” for anonymous) along with overuse of “filler words” and superlatives
6/6 Behavioral: Disinhibition and impulsivity, poor judgment and decision making, increased irritability, anxiety, depression or paranoia, agitation, and inappropriate behavior. Confusion, disorientation, and wandering.
