The likely answer is because there was no evidence of traffic between AlfaBank and the Trump Organization. Sure, there was an oddity here that may indicate a relationship between AlfaBank and Trump, but we know it wasn't "traffic" between them.
AlfaBank made some DNS lookups for a domain created by Cendyne, a marketing firm used by lots of hotels. Cendyne sometimes creates domains on behalf of its customers, to which the customers have no control over, such as "hyatt-email.com".
Yet another of those domains was "trump-email.com". Sure, it was registered on behalf of the TrumpOrg, but we can tell from the DNS data that nobody at the TrumpOrg had any control over it, and that it never pointed to computers controlled by TrumpOrg
If these DNS lookups point to secret traffic, it's secret traffic between AlfaBank and Cendyne. But before any of this happened, TrumpOrg had fired Cendyne and gone with their competitor. It's certainly not traffic to Cendyne on behalf of TrumpOrg.
So it's ludicrous and absurd to think these are "traffic" happening between AlfaBank and TrumpOrg.
But it's still an odd coincidence. It's a coincidence that may point to something. It's just that this something isn't the paranoid conspiracy theory people describe.

For example, maybe it's an employee from AlfaBank that visited the Trump Org and installed the meeting scheduling app on their laptop that Trump Org was using before they severed the relationship with Cendyne, and it continued running in the background when they went back home.
So in the course of time, we might find that this odd coincidence is indeed the result of one of the many relationships Trump had with Russia, it's just that it's not evidence for those wild conspiracy theories people have.
And even then, I give that only 50% chance. The other 50% chance is that the researchers manipulated the data. We know they manipulated it a bit, such as to hide who provided the data. It's quite possible the entire coincidence is just confirmation bias on their part.
