The difficulties experienced in the Alberta oil industry are also being felt in US.

Halliburton and Schlumberger are failing too.

Blowing up the conspiracy theory that Canadian and Albertan oil production is being specifically targeted.

It’s a lie. A sham.
UCP and Kenney gaslighted the AB population with tall tales and conspiracy theories. Using lies, disinformation campaigns and misrepresentation to swing the election. The fiscal reality of the oil field service companies is stark AND international.
Kenney sold AB a conspiracy theory. And now he’ll do anything & everything possible to stave off buyers remorse. Including spending $2.3M in public funds (i.e. tax dollars) to find “evidence” that the environmental agenda is working to shut down oil production.
Guess what, they are. That is their agenda. No big surprise or secret. Federal Greens & NDP both have ties to the Green New Deal. Both support a swift, almost immediate reduction in all oil production worldwide, not just Canada. Providing an extreme dissenting political position.
Same with foreign funded domestic environmental & climate action organizations. They can only operate in Canada. So of course the rhetoric & documentation is specifically aimed at the Canadian fossil fuel industry.

Their ideological & organizational US partners focus on the US.
It’s not like NDP & Green environmental and climate change activists can do anything about US, Saudi, or Nigerian oil production. So they focus on the oil industry in Canada. Wow! Big surprise.
In case you hadn’t noticed, the entire globe’s living species are at existential threat & annihilation over the refusal of oil industry to pare back production and begin the move towards green energy. Some people are getting a bit antsy and nervous. And rightly so, IMHO.
Many oil industry producers are making profits hand over fist to provide investors & shareholders with continued high profits. Why? Because of automation, improved technology, lateral drilling. Doing more with less.

Oil field service companies are struggling, not just in Canada.
So Kenney’s election rhetoric about reduced oil investment was disingenuous at best, outright disinformation at worst.

First, he primed the desperate, then promised relief with his plan.

cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…
Notice the plan reduces revenues by reducing corporate taxes by 1/3, scraps carbon tax, & eliminates green energy competition by removing financial support. Kenney’s budget sacrifices Alberta citizens provincial revenue, promising cuts, efficiencies & eliminating waste.
He promises annual $30M in publicly funded advertising to promote oil industry, while simultaneously removing the “subsidies” for the green energy sector.

What a scam! The shareholders and oil industry CEO’s would be foolish to turn down that deal.
Industry prefers no obligation to contribute through taxes to the province that owns the resources? They get a significant boost in profit & an unfettered opportunity to boost profits exponentially & line pockets of shareholders from Alberta’s resources at Albertan’s expense.
UCP election platform catered to industry. Thus, oil producers cheered him on. Promising investment. Swaying the Alberta voter to choose fantasy over reality.
UCP ran a purely populist political campaign aided by domestic & foreign oil producers echoing Kenney’s rhetoric. There’s the foreign interference in Alberta election. I’m sure they were careful to ensure all their industry spokespersons we Canada based.

The industry was only too happy to comply to provide “evidence” of reducing their investments because of pipeline uncertainty, & the NDP Government was insensitive to the industry needs in an uncertain market.

Notice the desperation from Oilwell Drilling Contractors.
The only way to provide work for oil field services is to double or triple the rate of oil production. To increase the demand for oil field services, in a declining market for their services, you need to increase the number of wells. That’s math. Plain and simple math.
Oil producers are improving technology and require oil field services less and less to produce more and more barrels of oil.

If investment in these services decreased by half or 2/3, then doubling or tripling the number of development projects will return demand to 2014 levels.
To keep the same numbers employed over time, the number of development projects would need to continue to increase development from current numbers, as oil producers become more and more efficient. Kenney isn’t restoring investment, he sold the province to the industry.
Technological advancements in the last 5 years mean oil field services are over supplied. To increase demand for oil field services to previous levels (2014 ~11,204 wells), the number of wells would require exponential expansion. Basic supply & demand.

cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…
That’s the UCP plan. That’s what the $30M war room is intended to achieve. It would aid in the effort to exponentially expand the number of projects & profits of oil producers to replace the jobs of oil field service workers & employers.
That’s what Albertan voters were manipulated to believe only Kenney could deliver.

However, it’s true. No other leader would sell out the health & safety of Albertans by increasing the number of wells by 2 or 3 times, or by increasing the GHG emissions by 200%-300%, if not more.
The people most affected were given false hope that the oil producers would expand their investment into Alberta.

These people:

Unless UCP & CPC can deliver unfettered approvals & remove all climate action that cuts into their profits (Bill C-69 & carbon tax), reduce the industry corporate tax burden to boost profits (done), & remove regulations protecting environment & human health & safety, why invest?
The witch hunt to identify opposition to oil is meant to provide a tangible enemies list to focus upon. Providing targets other than Kenney and UCP who are now unable to deliver those jobs to desperate people until Bill C-69 is repealed & CPC’s approval process is reinstated.
It would be helpful if MSM were to cover this information as news, and stop acting like it’s a foregone conclusion that CPC will win the next election.

News flash:
There are no oil industry jobs coming to Alberta UNTIL and UNLESS CPC wins the federal election.
The $2.3M Inquiry is also a cleaver tool to assist CPC in the upcoming election to win, by providing $2.3M in public taxpayer funds to validate Vivian Krause’s questionable claims. So it MUST be true. That’s called confirmation bias.
An experienced research team could determine this is a false claim in about 3-5 days. Another week to write and present the report. But the results aren’t expected for a year?

That’s how populist politics works. Give the mob/herd someone to hate & focus their anger upon.
Lies, disinformation, gaslighting. This is the Finkelstein Method of divide and rule.
threadreaderapp.com/thread/1129481…

Alberta is paying for a $2.3M year long witch hunt. With Scheer and CPC leading marginally in the polls, this is meant as a tool to help guarantee that win.
But remember, Greens and NDP are also running populist political campaigns.

They too are cashing in on fear and emotional manipulation by proclaiming the world will certainly end if we don’t stop the tar sands almost immediately.
By offering such diametrically opposed policies, Conservatives & the populist leaders of the less favoured progressive parties in Canada are engineering the election through manipulation of Canadian voters. Exactly like the 2016 US Presidential election engineered Trump’s win.
Why isn’t this news?

Where is the MSM coverage? Where is the analysis of political policy platforms to inform Canadian voters? Why is the Finkelstein Method not exposed by political news hosts? Why are MSM journalists ignoring this?
The only party not taking an extreme position is under attack by the other 3 main contenders using a coordinated pincer attack, & MSM has abdicated all responsibility in reporting it.
Social democracy is under attack. Worldwide. Is this not a coordinated attack on Canadian social democracy? Are MSM owners and editors ignoring populist rhetoric being used by 3/4 of the main political parties of Canada?
Why is it left to concerned citizens to research & document the rise of populism in Canada? Where are investigative journalists? Where are the policy analysts? Has everyone forgotten how to research and report news? Or are owners & editors censoring, like they censored de Adder?
In case other citizens of Canada would like real news, here’s a helpful article on how to avoid becoming part of the mob/herd that the majority of Canadian politicians want us to become.

And to demonstrate how blatantly the Kenney war room and 21st Century UCP Inquisition are crowd manipulation, here’s some research.

Feel free MSM, to use it to write an article, produce a news cast, or you know, fulfill your role keeping the public informed.
