Corbyn's 1st Parliamentary speech on 9/11:

Queried if Britain was a democracy
Babbled on about General Pinochet
Declared his opposition to labelling people terrorists

Unsurprising, as he goes on to tell of his visit to Finsbury Park Mosque, whose imam then was Abu Hamza! 1/9

After blaming President Bush for a rise in racism, he then claimed:

'No one among the 1,500 people at the mosque in Finsbury Park did anything other than condemn what happened to the World Trade Centre and Pentagon' Hansard HC Deb 4 Oct 2001

This is what Abu Hamza said days after the 9/11 attacks: "Many people will be happy, jumping up and down at this moment"

and that 'the hijackers should be hailed as martyrs.'

Doesn't sound like a condemnation, as Corbyn claims. 3/9

While nearly all British Muslims condemned the attacks, the followers of Hamza congregated outside the mosque and daubed slogans like:

"New York Taleban triumph" and "God bless the Dead Dollar" 4/9

One young man pledged to be a suicide bomber and said that Whitehall was a legitimate target for terrorists.

Others in the crowd laughed as one shouted "Did you see the yuppies flying out windows of the trade centre? That was so funny" 5/9

Hamza continued "what was done was done in self-defence, If the attackers were Moslem & they did it for that reason then they are justified" 6/9

Corbyn can hardly claim ignorance of Hamza's widely publicised affiliations, or the allegation of terrorism against him.

These dated back to at least 1999, as the 'mastermind' behind a kidnapping in the Yemen. With a son and stepson both convicted of the botched plot. 7/9

Hamza was eventually convicted of several counts in the UK, including soliciting to murder, and in 2012 was extradited to the US, where he was convicted of the Yemen & other plots and will live out his days in ADX Florence, Colorado. 8/9

It wasn't just Abu Hamza who was associated with Finsbury Park Mosque at that time, the shoe bomber Richard Reid worshipped there, as did many other terrorists and extremists.

Just the sort of place Corbyn would got to after 9/11. 9/9
