We've heard their stories over & over. Read them in our Bibles. We know of others like them, too, who, in their own generations, followed in their footsteps, faithful to God in a faithless generation. It's our turn. They can't do this for us. These are things I try to remember:

Those who chose to be brave were just as scared as you.
Those who chose to love were just as loathed as you.
Those who chose to speak up had just as much to lose.
Those who chose to believe had just as much to doubt.
Those who chose to go with Christ had just as much to leave.

Those who chose to rejoice had just as much to mourn.
Those who went against tradition felt just as all alone.
Those who chose to forgive had been just as hurt as you.
Those who chose to get back up were cast down just as low as you.

AND...

Those who finally got a "YES" heard "NO" as many times as you.

Nobody can be faithful for you.
Do the thing.
