dear @bbc i have an idea for a show about a british diplomat working in american politics. just give me the deal and ill work out the story details later.
im thinking the lead is named.. um... fiona. yeah. fiona. and she works with some guys, um, gordon and donald and rudy and yeah, im coming up with some more totally original details. just sign the check.
then there are scenes where she calls her father back home in england and he's mad about the right-wing american press trashing her, and she reassures him that she's "a toughie" and can handle it. and he smiles and pours himself tea and says "go on then."
i also feel like she has young american staffers and through her example she shows them country > party/ideology
im ready for my emmy.
