The CIA has been embedded in Australia for decades, which explains all those flights bringing in people like Comey and Clapper.

"increasing use of secrecy as a weapon"...

"Toohey lays out details of (Prime Minister) Whitlam’s displeasure at discovering, contrary to US assurances, that Pine Gap was being run by the CIA, not the US Defense Department."
"for all the sentiment around Australia-US alliance, America’s primary interest in Australia has been as a base for covert CIA activities, using its monitoring facilities, & for its increasingly overt regional military presence, in recent years via US Marine rotations in Darwin".

Officially headquartered in Hong Kong & chartered in Cayman Islands...Nugan Hand had a roster of top ex-military officials & CIA figures that attracted suspicion it was deeply involved in unsavory activities.

Nugan Hand had enough generals, admirals, & spooks to run a small war

Think about the The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999, signed by Bill Clinton, that supposedly updated and modernized the financial industry by repealing the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933.

GLB allowed commercial banks to sell investments, securities, & insurance.
They're now too big to jail...
