On #VotingTactically - a Tale of Five Constituencies, where the #RemainAlliance between the Lib Dems, Plaid, and the Greens @unitetoremain is going to make a Tory government and Johnson's hard Brexit *more* likely rather than less likely. #GE19 #GE2019
(1) #Stroud: a Lab-Con marginal held by @DavidEDrew for Labour. The Lib Dems are standing down for @MollyMEP (@TheGreenParty), BUT if you want to stop the Tories and their hard Brexit in Stroud, the only reasonable option is to vote for @UKLabour. Any other vote helps the Tories.
(2) #YorkOuter: held by Tory hard Brexiteer (and dismally ineffective) MP Julian Sturdy. Labour in *clear* second place in both 2015 and 2017. If you want the Tories out in York Outer, vote @AnnaPerrett @UKLabour, a truly excellent local, pro-Remain, and anti-fracking candidate.
(3) #ValeofGlamorgan: a very tight Con-Lab marginal, held by the Tories, but previously Labour 1997-2010. LibDems & Greens are standing down for Plaid. BUT it's crystal clear that the only way to kick out the Tories here is to vote for Belinda Lovelock-Edwards @Bel4theVale.
(4) #DaWN #DulwichAndWestNorwood. @helenhayes_ an excellent, passionately pro-Remain @UKLabour MP, holding off the Tories in second place. Greens standing down for the Lib Dems here, but splitting the Remain vote here could let the Tories in. Instead, vote @helenhayes_ !
(5) #Southport: Currently held by the Tories, but in 2019 @UKLabour has a fantastic candidate, @LizSavagelabour, who finished in a strong second place in 2017. Greens standing aside for Lib Dems here, but @UKLabour is the best chance to kick the Tories out in Southport.

(1) There are *some* places where the so-called #RemainAlliance makes sense, but others (inc. these five) where it could be a disaster
(2) Voters will make up their own minds, but beware of tactical voting websites, which often involve dodgy projections from scant data #GE19

(3) If voting tactically, look at unbiased data of what happened in previous general elections. It's all there on the BBC or Wikipedia. Don't believe LibDem leaflets w/ their fictional bar charts, or unreliable websites like @BestForBritain, which have a party agenda to push.

(4) To conclude, if you want a greener economy, if you want to tackle inequality, and to invest in our public services, then whether you're a Green, Lib Dem, or Plaid supporter, please vote for @UKLabour in places where the choice is between Labour and the Tories. #gtto #GE19
