What did #famers get in #Budget, where @nsitharaman claimed, "Our Govt is committed to the goal of doubling farmers income by 2022"
P.S-Acc to Dalwai committee,"real income of farmer, should increase by 10.4%/year,which has been increasing less than 2.5% in last 5 years
Is this enough ?
Will this increase #farm income, prop up #rural demand ?
@mkvenu1 @PreetiSMenon
👉Will this double #farm income by 2022 ?🙄
@rssurjewala @MonaAmbegaonkar
#FCI already owes 2 lakh crore to #NSSF, how will it function ? Seems, #Modi Govt wants to shut FCI, stop #MSP procurement & the #PDS ! #Farmers
@kapsology @jamewils
allocation was 3000 crore in #Budget2019. This has been scaled down to 2000 crore in #Budget2020
👉Stifling money for the scheme, which directly helps the #farmers realize Min Support Prices does not make sense.🤨
@sayantanbera
#PM-AASHA scheme, which was served as a tool to ensure MSP's to #farmers, allocation also cut from 1,500 crore to 500 crore in #Budget2020
@nistula
@ikaveri
@sushmitadevinc

Interest subsidy to #farmers=137 Cr
National Food Security Mission=223.1 Cr

Will this propel demand?
@mkvenu1
👉This move will help Co-op's increase profits, & will benefit farmers, only if these profits are shared with #farmers.
Govt plans to involve Youth in 3477 SagarMitras and 500 Fish Farmer Producer Organisations, plants to encourage fish processing+marketing. By 2022-23, plan to raise fish production to 200 lakh tonnes. Growing of algae, sea-weed and cage Culture will also be promoted
These are welcome steps, if implemented on ground, but they talk about future, while the need was to augment farm #incomes now !
Need to walk the talk @PMOIndia
