Hmm. Had a series of conversations with sources in Brussels tonight on this very point, about which there’s huge frustration. They say UK govt disingenuous: a) EU has always said UK wld have different obligations to Canada b) UK actually wants a different deal to Canada anyway.
After all, Britain has always said it wanted not Canada but Canada +++, something which it basically affirmed in the Political Declaration. The “+++” bit is where the complications arise.
You’ll notice too, there’s no “Australian deal” on that chart.
Or rather, there is but it goes by its accurate name of “no deal”
