Symptoms may be so mild for young people that THEY AREN'T NOTICED.

So people who DON'T KNOW they're infected & contagious go about normal activities & infect others: parents, grandparents, people with asthma, lung disease (ex: asthma), diabetes, etc. 2/3 #FlattenTheCurve
#SocialDistancing ISN'T JUST ABOUT YOU.

It's about EVERYONE in your community.

It's about making it safer FOR OTHERS.

Don't be a #carrier.

Don't send me to the hospital because I had to go get my prescriptions.

I'm seeing accounts call themselves "bot hunters" & run prominent resistance accounts thru sites like botcheck.me. If the site says the account is a #Bot, they tweet that info.

It's a tactic to discredit #Resistance accounts & sow #chaos & #Division. THREAD 1/5
These fake "bot hunters" count on people believing them & blocking the accounts they call bots. This reduces the resistance account's reach & effectiveness.

Educate yourself on identifying bots so you don't fall for it. 2/5 #panic #disinformation #chaos

I started quarantining myself on Wednesday night, as a precaution, when the Rudy Gobert news broke. By Thursdsy A.M., after my swab test, I was at home in isolation. And I've been holed-up in my bedroom since...while my wife & kid have full run of the rest of the house. (2)
I haven't left my room in 4 days. Luckily, I have an ensuite bathroom, 🤣. But I haven't been outside or left this 10x10 space in 96 hrs. I haven't hugged my wife or played w/ my kid. I'm having Skype or WhatsApp video calls w/ my family while we're all in the house together! (3)

1. Housing Allowance - immediately expand, accelerate payment and increase amount to reflect true housing costs.
2. Freeze all renovictions and evictions - immediately and without exceptions.

We’ve increased tests in UK for Coronavirus #COVIDー19 5,000 in one day on Friday, and at least 37,746 overall. We’re testing well above most countries (save Italy / China / S Korea).

I’ve had some questions on why we’ve changed the testing approach. I’ll try to explain here 1/
Firstly we need to prioritise testing the most vulnerable to ensure we understand their care needs and what treatment they need.

Secondly we’re testing medical / caring staff to limit the spread of the virus to most vulnerable 2/
The test is not 100% accurate (no test is and this is a new virus) and can give false negative results as you need a certain viral load to get a positive test. 3/

The most distinctive comorbidities of 32 non-survivors from a group of 52 ICU patients w/ #COVIDー19 were cerebrovascular diseases (22%) & diabetes (22%).

Please stop telling young people they should avoid #COVIDー19 infection to protect the old. Tell them to protect themselves.

Long-term symptoms 6+ mo post-infection:

EBV: 11%
Q fever: 11%
Ross River Virus: 11%
West Nile Virus: 31%
SARS: 87%
Ebola: 90%
COVID-19: We have no idea
In general, the topic of long-term, post-infectious sequelae is not well-studied, probably for the same reasons #MECFS has not been well-studied. But maybe a few hundred million people being infected by a novel, zoonotic virus will (unfortunately) change things.
The quality of data by infectious agent varies––a lot. By the time we start worrying about survivors, the pandemic apparatus has usually long moved on and the money just isn't there to study the people left behind.
