Hi 👋🏽- I have #COVID19.

Isolated at 🏠 away from my healthy & unexposed family.

Seeking ways to help as a research subject (take my serum!) & hope to be back on front lines soon w/my #ICU & #anesthesia colleagues as an🤞🏽immune #COVIDー19 fighter.

Oh & anosmia= 100% REAL. 1/
My #covid19 symptom timeline were:
Day 1: myalgia
Day 2: chills, coughing, malaise
Day 3: coughing continues, exhausted, intermittent nausea, myalgias
Day 4:myalgia, cough, nausea, decreased taste, fatigue
Day 5: myalgia, cough, malaise, ANOSMIA

Symptoms come & go in 🌊 2/
Anosmia. The strangest & most fascinating symptom of all. Discovered it when the brand new diffuser wasn’t working despite dumping several drops of strong scented oil in. Then a friend asked “so is that anosmia thing real?” Then it hit me. 3/
Stuck my nose in my strongest perfume bottle— nothing. Not sure how long I had it already. #covid19 3b/
I’m 1000% aware that I am truly fortunate to have a)mild symptoms; & b)was able to be tested as soon as I had symptoms.

Allowed me to definitively prepare my family & protect them,my colleagues & patients.

so many of my colleagues across the 🌎 are not so lucky. 😞 #covid19 4/
How do you quarantine within the same house as your family? My husband moved to another room & I came home to this setup 😊 - the extra Walmart microwave is coming in handy! They deliver food on a tray outside my room. I text or FaceTime what I need. #covid19 #quarantine 5/
While being completely isolated is not fun, my family friends & colleagues have been beyond incredible- you know who you are! My kids share screens & read to me & do educ. stuff in a Zoom room. Right now we are learning about Marie Curie-this page w/some perspective. 6/#covid19
It is very healthy from an emotional perspective to hear family noise downstairs, laughter, bickering, all of it. I’m trying to keep a routine as much as possible w/out constant TV & #SoMe. Not easy but necessary. Inspired by @arghavan_salles have started basic yoga. #covid19 7/
If you’re #covid19 positive and need to talk to someone- I’m here! it can feel isolating if you are the only person your family & friends know with the dx. Feel free to DM me. 8/
I’ll share tidbits along the way. thanks for listening, just wanted to share my personal experience in case it helps someone - There’s a lot out there, but the more information we have, the better. #covid19 9/
I’m thinking of & praying for all my colleagues across the 🌎 who are on the front lines fighting this enemy, often without the protection & support they so desperately need.I’ll continue to shout from the rooftops for you until I can join you.❤️ #PPENow #covid19 #StayAtHome 10/10
