While this piece makes a few solid points about 2020,, it also misrepresents 2016. Hillary was hardly a weak candidate like Biden and she never needed super delegates--she won in a landslide of 4M votes.

While it's certainly verifiably true that the MSM has propped up Biden, it has also propped up Bernie--both to the detriment of the Democrats who lost stellar candidates like Harris and Warren as a consequence. Bernie has underperformed the entire primary. Not mentioned here.

And while many have concerns about Biden, more have concerns about Bernie. Setting aside the dismal fact that both would be one-termers, which means McConnell will just wait out the 4yrs, Bernie has surrounded himself with angry antagonists except for AOC, who has withdrawn.

Leaders lead. Bernie has yet to show voters he can do that. Do we love Bernie's progressive ideas? Yes, though Warren's were doable, his are not. But Bernie has never given any sense that he can work with anyone else. He's the Rand Paul of the moderate left when unity matters.
