(1) OK, Deplorables, POP QUIZ time. I know I posted a single tweet earlier on the President's tweet condemning AG Sessions. Some of you will have an easier time w/ this quiz. And while I understand & respect the "Get rid of Sessions" crowd perspective, it may be more difficult...
(2) So here is the question to ask, followed by my educated guess after seeing events and actions over the last year through a specific set of lenses:
QUESTION: What is REALLY going on with the President's tweet?

Take a minute....Think it over (Jeopardy theme music playing)....
(3) ....30 more seconds.....
....15 seconds remaining.....
....5 seconds....
....
....And...pencils down....
(4) So let's take a few facts we have learned in the last year into account before assembling our best guess.

RULE #1: When Trump tweets, he never does it without a full and complete understanding of the totality of the facts, and the guarantee of a successful intended result...
(5) RULE #2: Trump has likely memorized the Art of War by Sun Tzu.

Sun Tzu, Section IV, Paragraph 1: "The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, and then waited for an opportunity of defeating the enemy.
(6) Sun Tzu, Section IV, Paragraph 2: "To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.
(7) Sun Tzu, Section III, Paragraph 2: "Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.
(8) Sun Tzu, Section II, Paragraph 22: If your opponent is of choleric temper, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant.

Sun Tzu, Section II, Paragraph 20: "Hold out BAITS to entice the enemy. FEIGN disorder, and CRUSH him. (emphasis mine)
(9) And therein lies the current strategy in this particular tweet. Pretend to be weak, entice with baits, and then crush the enemy.

Many people do not fully understand the value and role of the Inspector General. He is to be above reproach and removed from politics...
(10) If the IG is at all perceived as being politically motivated, his role as chief ethics officer of the federal government becomes undermined, and risks becoming ineffectual when that accusation results in the DOJ being unable to act upon the IG recommendations...
(11) The recommendations may be grounded in the most compelling and damning evidence ever seen by a court. The equivalent video taped undercomver surveillance confession to murder can be but at risk if political bias and motivation is allowed to take root in the slightest way...
(12) What many people do not realize is that AG Sessions is practically OBLIGATED to not imfringe into the IG's 15 month investigation. While he may receive tips from the IG as the IG proceeds, and he may be setting up charges behind the scenes, Sessions must not respond...
(13) Where the IG may be feeding DOJ firm details and evidence of crimes, those cannot be made public yet for risk of seeming politicized. Furthermore, it MUST remain a one-way conversation. Any action or comment by Sessions triggers the politicalization false narrative...
(14) This is why EVERYONE how has testified before Congress has said at least once during the questioning, "I cannot comment at this point because of ongoing IG investigation." There is a year of testimony now that DOCUMENTS no politicization occurred, despite the opportunity...
(15) Now returning to the President's tweet: When AG Sessions announced investigating the FISA abuse, he likely received absolute confirmation directly from the IG that is has become part of the IG investigation, and may even be in the upcoming massive report...
(16) After all, from where did the Strzok-Page text messages come? The IG. He was already traveling down the road, but may not have chosen to communicate that with the DOJ as part of the minimal communication best-practice to reduce politicization risk...
(17) Trump is a smart guy. Furthermore, he doesn't tweet without lawyers reviewing before he sends the messages. He most certainly would realize this fact. He would also know that the IG had a bitter relationship with the Obama administration, who prevented him doing his job...
(18) Trump knows that to be appointed under someone does not always make him or her an "Obama guy." That the IG notice of investigation was filed on January 12, 2017, DURING the Obama administration, but too late for Obama to retaliate, screams Horowitz is not an "Obama guy."
(19) Horowitz brilliantly & strategically opened the investigation when he did to achieve 2 goals: (1) BHO couldn't stop it or retaliate against him, & (2) it has the date stamp as being started WHILE OBAMA WAS IN OFFICE. At a minimum this dampens accusations of politicization...
(20) Here is what I suspect is happening...

The President has seen the IG report. In it, the IG explains conclusively that he is independent, not political, & exonerates Session of any influence whatsoever. The President's tweet is drawing attention because it is ready to drop.
(21) This is attention-grap 101, with foreknowledge of the IG report content, that will strip any question away of politicization. Watch for it....
