The message frm Ramayana is that our Hindu Deities who incarnate for our protection are still bound by Dharma to follow Rules. It is highlighted in yesterday's Ramayana episode in @DDNational how Lord Shri Rama had to keep the word given by Shri Dasaratha and continue vanavasa.
Kanchi Paramacharya in his independence day message
"luckily Chakra of Bhagawan who is embodiment of dharma has its place in the centre of our National Flag "
He ensured thru Art 26 insertion that our Constitution recognizes times immemorial right of Hindu Deities to protect us

2-As we begin April – almost everyone agrees that it will be a hard month as the #CoronaPandemic spreads across the globe.

The epidemic may calm down by July and August, but #ChinaVirus is likely to be seasonal and could return with a vengeance in the fall.

3-The next challenge then becomes - How do we crack the current outbreak, develop a plan to return to normal life, and ensure that the #wuhanvirus never poses the same threat again?

We are distributing 500 plates of puri subji for laborers and others who need whether police or ppl in essential services for the next 15days. Since we are in lockdown.. we are not moving out. We are supplying food boxes directly to the police station.
don't just like comment - wow great bla bla.... u all should start helping in your capacity even1 packet of food is enough to feed 1 hungry.
Ground reality is different... During distribution of food packet we heard this from majority -" kal se kuch nhi khaya hai"
Its bottom of pyramid who suffers most in any kind of crisis and its our responsibility to take care of them.
Try to help needy around u.

These are the scenes at Delhi border of poor migrant workers from UP today. It breaks my heart. What is really going on in India? What is the government doing to help our poor?
People are hungry, thirsty, crying & dying, walking home to meet their families. Government Police are beating them. Not allowing them into states – turning them away.
The government sent special jet planes to China and Italy to bring back hundreds of Indians home. It was also good PR. Are these poor, not Indians? Do they deserve this? How can the world tolerate this? We must unite to stop this.

Much hand-wringing as to why #21daylockdown has not been perfect smooth sailing from the moment get-set-go? Several angles.

1) In democracies, in a non law-and-order driven lock down, human beings are unlikely to behave as robots who will all synchronize at flip of a switch. 1/5
2) India not alone in somewhat chaotic adjusting to an evolving situation of a scale unseen by almost anyone in present generation. Other democracies facing similar issues.

3) Day one of #21daylockdown was ALSO ABOUT SENDING MESSAGE TO ALL that this is serious business. 2/5
4) Police sometimes may have been ham handed on Day 01 of #21daylockdown. Could they have been more sophisticated? Maybe. But, POLICE ALSO HAD TO SEND MESSAGE IN REAL WORLD THAT defying lock down would have consequences.

5) Message sent, protocols would now be established. 3/5

A close friend of mine today asked me as to what India should do to handle the coronavirus crisis. After our brief conversation, he thought I should write this and tweet. Here are my tweets in series -
Follow @PMOIndia 's national guidelines on social distancing, hand washing, and lockdown to avoid spreading #coronavirus and crowding existing limited health infrastructure-difficult due to population density, slums, and joint families.
Produce more test kits, test more people, and install more hospital beds through PPP. Respect our health workers and follow the needed discipline to flatten the curve & get through this crisis as quickly as possible.
