In response to my charge that the Mx software used in his MISTRA twin study was designed to produce genetic results, Bouchard argued that Mx "is not MISTRA software." That's like being on trial for stealing a BMW and seeking acquittal on the grounds that it was actually a Lexus. 
Bouchard didn't deny that DZAs were the official MISTRA control group, that DZA r's were omitted in the 1990 Science article, that full-sample DZA IQ r's were never published, and that what Nancy Segal called the "important first step" of determining that IQ rMZA > rDZA FAILED.

the very name "#AGI" gives the game away: the #programming boys daydream that they've invented a "general intelligence", a universal thinking machine capable of solving literally any problem—and #capitalism is willing to gamble on that. it's just what #business wants.

I got taught "Palmer method" #cursive handwriting in school. it was a traumatic process as you might imagine; we've suffered from poor motor coördination all our remembered life, and also there's signs that we probably would have been left-handed if we weren't traumatized.

1. Thread on the ableist fetishization of so-called intelligence in academia. I just read yet another article that glorifies so-called intelligence, which is a social construct rooted in eugenics.
2. In an ableist culture (such as ours) in which so-called intelligence is so idolized that it’s a condition of citizenship & personhood, everyone will have anxieties about whether they’re ‘intelligent enough.’
3. Intelligence is a disciplinary apparatus that mobilizes people into a regime of compulsory (able-minded) intelligence, which conveniently justifies capitalism as a ‘meritocracy’ that both produces and rewards the most ‘intelligent’ (nondisabled) citizens.
