I swear if Imran Khan gets one positive gushing interview in UK media mentioning his cricket career after this election campaign, I will lose my shit.

Khan should be treated as the religious extremist he is, not the charming international cricketer he used to be.
Imran Khan is to Pakistan what Narendra Modi is to India: a nation exhausted by corruption is charmed by a man who pretends to care, while nakedly pandering to religious extremists.
Folks, I put up with Modi fans all day so Taliban Khan fans are welcome to have a go too. But I follow Pak politics closely enough to make up my own mind. The comparison isn't absurd.
The only person I'm endorsing/supporting/praising in this election in Pakistan is @MJibranNasir
People keep asking if I've got a list of offensive/dangerous things Imran Khan has said that justify my views.

But I also think it's a mistake to force Jeremy Corbyn to commit to a second Referendum on Brexit. Labour members shouldn't go down that road.

Here's why:
If Corbyn says he is committed to a second Referendum *before* Theresa May's deal has been voted on, it will be a disaster.

Why? Two reasons:
First, May will immediately accuse him of helping the EU and trying to wreck Brexit. It will unite all Tories (ensuring her deal goes through).

Secondly, it will allow her to say Labour were always angling for No Deal, and are to blame from fallout of No Deal.

Let's talk about Rod Liddle's own history, since its not that well known.
In 2010, Rod Liddle blamed black people for "the overwhelming majority of street crime, knife crime, gun crime, robbery and crimes of sexual violence in London"

Ok. *deep breath* a thread on Labour and Brexit. ⬇️

As a strong Remainer I find it odd when fellow Remainers attack the Labour leadership (Corbyn / McDonnell) for not being against Brexit enough. Its unnecessary and misguided. Here's why
1) The Corbyn/McD stance is classic Triangulation. (Yes, the t-word is back!)

Of course they won't admit to it. But leadership don't want to lose the mostly working-class-vote that are strong Leavers. Will they attract Tory Remainers to replace them? Seems doubtful.
And the quickest way to annoy its Leavers is by telling them their vote didn't count.

For the Labour leadership, Brexit is not a concern as big as transforming the economy. THAT is the project they are building a coalition of voters for.
