A couple of points. 1) Sanctions are a tool of diplomacy, and Turkey has also used them: apnews.com/e020128bb47948… So unless I've misunderstood you and you're against all sanctions at all times, the issue isn't the sanctions, per se.
I *favor* sanctions when another country has done something clearly wrong, and I think you and I would probably agree on what *wrong* is. It's not "what the US decides," but what is *wrong.* I think it's always wrong--do you agree?--to kill babies, for example.
S before I continue, let me ask you to clarify: Do you think sanctions are always wrong, *and* that no one has the right to judge what is right or wrong? Because that's inconsistent: If no one can make that judgement, how can sanctions be wrong?
I think you might be trying to make a different point, and it might be one I agree with, so I won't put words in your mouth, or guess, I'll just ask what you mean.
