This is missing my point. I'm not saying "reject a bill or appointment because Trump." (I was fine, for example, with Gorsuch.) But to just call balls and strikes on Trump is disingenuous in the extreme. Govt has to function, Trump is POTUS, but don't lose the thread. /1
It's like saying: "My building is safe because the Mafia owns it, so the Mafia is okay sometimes. I don't approve of the Mafia, I just call balls and strikes on what they do, and I'm not going to ask for my building to be *less* secure*, am I?"

And any conservative who makes that "balls and strikes" call about Trump is staring at the weeds and missing the forest. "I like this *one* thing" should not be a license to say: "Well, I was Never Trump, but that's over, so Maybe Trump." /3
And one other thing. The same people who were Never Obama - and they hated Obama with a fury that Never Trump can't even touch - never argued for "let's just call balls and strikes on Obama, and then #MaybeObama."
